Arlington Heights police received a report Friday of a theft at Cooper’s Hawk restaurant/bar, 798 West Algonquin Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders took three credit cards from a purse that the victim hung next to herself at a bar during a wine tasting event.

Three credit cards were removed with subsequent fraudulent charges on June 28, 2013 at Nordstrom Woodfield ($2000 loss) and Carson Pirie Scott (over $1000 loss). A fraudulent attempt also occurred at Target in Hillside (attempted $450 purchase), but the bank rejected the attempted credit card purchase.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Friday, June 28, 2013 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The victim remembered feeling her purse brush against her leg, and believes this possibly coincided with the theft of the credit cards.
