Hit By Truck: Jaden Jacobo, Age 4, Killed Riding His Bike On Driveway, But Too Close To Oakton St

Cook County Sheriff’s deputies and Elk Grove Township firefighters responded about 1:30 PM Monday to a fatal truck-pedestrian incident in the block of 2200 Oakton Street Elk Grove Village, IL. Jaden Jacobo, a four-year-old from Chicago, was riding his bike in a driveway, when he apparently rode to close the street. He was hit by a westbound semi-trailer truck with a 53-foot trailer on Oakton Street in unincorporated Elk Grove Village/Cook County.

The driver of the truck immediately stopped to come to the aid of the boy and his family. First responders arrived immediately, but the boy was fatally injured, and pronounced dead at the scene.

No citations or charges are expected resulting from the accident.
