The stalled system that has blocked summer weather for the past few days is starting to move. Patchy fog is moving out of the area and the weather radar [LIVE RADAR] is clear for our area.
Parade weather for Arlington Heights is sunny with some clouds. At the parade start the temperature will be about 70°F and by the end of the parade the temperature is expected to rise to about 77°F. Light winds from the south bring all conditions together for about the best weather you could expect for parade time on the Fourth of July.
TODAY, FOURTH OF JULY
Patchy fog before 10 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 80. The highest temperatures are expected from about 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Although a slight chance, the greatest chance for a little thunder and rain is between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. As has occurred each of the past few days, a lake breeze may develop in the afternoon.

A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7pm [LIVE RADAR FOR FIREWORKS]. Patchy fog after 10pm. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 64. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming south southwest after midnight.
