Detached Garage Burglar Caught on Video Surveillance Camera on North Mitchell Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:31 AM Monday of a residential burglary in the block of 1100 North Mitchell Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender was caught on surveillance video during a burglary in progress of a detached garage.

A resident reported to police that he was having coffee in his house when he saw a man walking near his house.

A review of security video showed a man walk into an unlocked detached garage and exit. The suspect appeared to be holding something in his hands.

The suspect is described as a male/white subject 5′ 10″ 240 LBS with brown hair, wearing a gray and white T-shirt and long sleeve hooded sweatshirt and black and white gym shoes and glasses. The suspect was also wearing gray and white gloves.

After leaving the detached garage, the subject walked to a black newer vehicle.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Sunday June 9, 2013 at about 4:30 a.m.
