Arlington Heights police responded about 10:35 PM Monday to a report of an attack and battery by an unknown male just east of Nickol Knoll Park, and just north of the Ridge Plaza shopping center, where Kohl’s, 24-hour fitness center Xsport Fitness, Fox and Hound, Portillo’s and other storefronts are located. Police Department responded to a residence in the block of 600 Happfield Drive Arlington Heights, and located a twenty-three year-old female victim. She reported being attacked by a male in a parking lot adjacent to her residence. The victim told officers that as she got out of her car, the suspect grabbed her and attempted to pull her out of her vehicle. The victim struggled with the suspect and sprayed him with pepper spray, causing the suspect to flee. The victim sustained minor injuries that did not require hospitalization.

An Arlington Heights Police sketch artist completed a composite drawing of the suspect, described as a dark skinned male in his mid-twenties, about 6’5” in height and very thin. The suspect wore a light colored baseball hat backwards, a baggy dark colored t-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

The Arlington Heights Police Department is seeking witnesses and is requesting assistance in identifying the suspect.

The suspect is described as a dark skinned male, possibly African American, mid-twenties, about 6’5’ in height, very thin build, wearing a light colored baseball cap backwards, baggy dark colored t-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

The crime is reported to have occurred between 10:34 p.m. and 10:37 p.m. Monday.
