AP Scandal “Chilling Effect” Affects Sources More Than Journalists

Jennifer Loven, Jane Hall & Joe Concha join Howard Kurtz to discuss the Justice Department’s seizure of AP phone records.

Government monitoring of journalists at AP has more affect on the sources who become afraid of communicating with the journalists, according to the panel.

Jennifer Loven is an American journalist and a former White House press correspondent for the Associated Press (AP) and current Managing Director at the Glover Park Group, a Washington, D.C.-based strategic communications firm.

Loven graduated from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.

Jane Hall was one of four regular pundits on Fox News Channel program Fox News Watch (Saturdays 2:30 p.m. and 11:30 pm. ET) and frequently appeared on The O’Reilly Factor, often clashing with host Bill O’Reilly. Hall graduated Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York City.

Joe Concha TV analyst & commentator, political/sports writer.
