Comedian Jonathan Winters Dead at 87 in Montecito, California

Jonathan Winters passed away of natural causes at his Montecito, California home at 6:45 p.m. PDT on April 11, 2013, surrounded by family and friends.

Jonathan Winters, the wildly irreverent actor and comedian who appeared in such films as “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” and “The Loved One” and played Robin Williams’ son “Mearth” on the TV show “Mork & Mindy,” has died at age 87.

Winters also played a variety of characters, including Maude Frickert, Elwood P. Suggins, B.B. Bindlestiff and Lance Loveguard. The Jonathan Winters Show broadcast from October 1956 to June 1957.
