Man Rescued After He Was Trapped In Machine In A Commercial Building On Pratt Blvd, Elk Grove Village

Elk Grove Village police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:03 PM Thursday to a report of a man entrapped in a machine at a commercial building 2200 Pratt Boulevard Elk Grove Village, IL. Firefighter/paramedics arrived to find a man trapped precariously in a machine. The man was already injured and there was concern over controlling the machine properly to prevent further injury.

Firefighters extricated the man by 5:23 PM. He was transported Advanced Life Support to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. A fire engine crew accompanied the ambulance because extra personnel were required to work in the ambulance during transport.

The incident has been reported to OSHA.
