Former NBA star Dennis Rodman brought his basketball skills on Tuesday and flamboyant style, tattoos, nose studs and all, to a country with possibly the world’s strictest dress code: North Korea.

Dennis Rodman and some members of the Harlem Globetrotters are in Pyongyang for a filmed visit dubbed “basketball diplomacy” by the film company. Rodman is scheduled to lead a basketball clinic for children and shoot hoops with top North Korean players for a Vice production that’s set to air on HBO in April.

I’m not a politician. Kim Jung Un & North Korean people are basketball fans. I love everyone. Period. End of story.

Rodman’s a world traveler …
In 2005, Rodman made two visits to Finland. At first, he was present at Sonkajärvi in July in a wife-carrying contest. However, he resigned from the contest due to health problems.”When did I marry Oprah?” In November, he played one match for Torpan Pojat of the Finland’s basketball league, Korisliiga.

About one year ago Dennis Rodman, 51, was in an Orange County, California courtroom facing up to 20 days in jail for failing to make child support and spousal support payments. Court documents were file by Wife #3 Michelle Rodman’s attorney Jack Kayajanian. Rodman said he’s “extremely sick” and his marketability is diminishing with age and illness.
