Female Victim: Stabbing, Carjacking On Carol Street, Skokie

Skokie police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:01 PM Saturday to a stabbing and vehicular hijacking in the block of 4800 Carol Street Skokie, IL. Police received a report that an offender stabbed Raisa Girel while she was unloading groceries and took her silver 2004 Toyota Highlander with license plate 711 8755.

Raisa Girel, 58, was unloading groceries from the SUV, which was parked on the street. She was approached by an unknown offender who cut her arm and stabbed her in the upper back. There was a struggle as the victim bit the offender. The offender then grabbed her purse and car keys and fled in her vehicle. The victims was treated at a hospital and received stitches for the wounds.

The male offender is wanted for aggravated vehicular hijacking and aggravated battery and possibly other charges.

The offender is described as a male/white subject, tall and slim, 20 to 25-years-old, wearing a black jacket with a hood.
