A weather record could be broken in Chicagoland today — the most consecutive days without measurable snow.

If no snow falls at O’Hare International Airport today, or if snowfall fails to measure .1 inch, Chicago’s official weather station will break the record for consecutive days without measurable snow at 281 days. The last measurable snow at Chicago’s official weather station was March 4, 2012.

Today’s forecast for snow ranges 30% to 55% for a measure of .1 inch accumulation, according to the National Weather Service hourly forecast. between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. During the same time period temperature is expected to vary between 31°F and 34°F with most hours holding at 34°F.
