Elzbieta Plackowska Charged with First-Degree Murder of Her Son and Girl She Was Babysitting on Quin Court, Naperville

Naperville police responded about 10:18 PM Tuesday to a check for well-being call to a townhome in the 800 block of Quin Court. Responding officers located two juvenile victims of an apparent homicide at the location. Justin Plackowska, 7, and Olivia Dworakowski, 5, were found stabbed multiple times.

A law enforcement source said that Justin’s mother, Elzbieta Plackowska, was not at the townhome when police made the discovery, but she was transported by paramedics to Edward Hospital from a relative’s home in the 700 block of Violet Circle in Naperville after police were called to both locations by relatives. Elzbieta Plackowska was found covered in blood at the Violet address. Elzbieta Plackowska had been babysitting Olivia with her son Justin.

Elzbieta Plackowska was charged with first-degree murder and is scheduled to appear in DuPage County bond court this morning.

The suspect told investigators she heard “demonic voices” before she stabbed the children, and said she was angry with her husband over his disagreement with her desire to return to her native Poland following the recent death of her father.

Elzbieta Plackowska lived with her husband, Artur, Justin and a college-age son.

Two dogs were also found stabbed in the townhome in the 800 block of Quin Court.
