Counterfeit $100 Bill Passes At Dollar Tree On Rand Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 7:40 PM Thursday of fraudulent activity using a counterfeit $100 bill at the Dollar Tree, 77 West Rand Road. Police received a report that the store made a deposit at the bank but were later notified by the bank that a $100 bill was counterfeit. The transaction is reported to have occurred on Thursday, November 8, 2012 between 2:24 PM and 7:34 PM. There were three transactions involving $100 bills during that time period. No offender information is available.

The counterfeit $100 bills appeared to be five dollar bills that were reprinted into $100 bills.
