Mount Prospect police responded about 10:09 PM Sunday to a report of shots fired in the 1700 block of West Algonquin Road. Police received a report of a disturbance and shots fired involving a black Oldsmobile Alero near the Cinnamon Cove Apartments on West Algonquin Road. The black Alero was last seen headed eastbound on Algonquin Road.
Police were investigating with information that subjects wearing red, who fled on foot, and/or subjects in the black Alero were armed. At least one casing, possibly from a 9 mm was found at the scene.
