Schaumburg police responded about 8:18 PM Thursday to a report of a vehicle burglary that “just occurred” in the 1000 block of Mercury Drive near Allcott. Police received a report that the vehicle owner chased down the offender and detained him while police responded. All was call when police arrived, and no report of any injuries.
No report of anything missing from the vehicle. No word on arrests or charges.
