Harley Davidson motorcycle and Jeep Liberty damaged in crash at Arlington Heights Road and Hawthorne Street.
Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:54 PM Wednesday to an SUV vs. motorcycle at Arlington Heights Road and Hawthorne Street. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a motorcyclist crashed was involved in a crash with an SUV and that the motorcyclist remained down after the crash. The male motorcyclist was conscious following the crash.
A red Jeep Liberty received moderate to severe damage on the right-front side.
The motorcyclist was transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
Apparently the driver of the crashed SUV was southbound on Arlington Heights preparing to take a left turn to go eastbound on Hawthorne Street, while a second northbound SUV was waiting to turn to westbound Hawthorne Street. The motorcyclist was northbound in the curb lane, and was not seen by the southbound SUV driver. As the SUV turned left in front the motorcycle, the motorcycle hit the right-front side of the Jeep Liberty.
