Carpentersville and East Dundee police officers arrived at the 2000 block of Berkshire Court in Carpentersville with an arrest warrant about 10:30 a.m. Friday. Police made contact or communicated with the suspect, but he ran. During a search for the suspect, three schools were placed on soft lockdown status for about 40 minutes. The schools in soft lockdown were in Community Unit District 300, and included Golview, Lakewood, and Meadowdale elementary schools.
The suspect was not located. Police have not released the nature or charges related to the arrest warrant.
