Residential Burglary Attempt: Resident Sees Intruder in House on Tebay Place, Schaumburg

Schaumburg police responded about 10:50 AM Friday to a report of a residential burglary “in progress” with an intruder seen inside the house in the 500 block of Tebay Place. Police received a report that an intruder entered the single family residence and fled when a resident was seen inside the home. The offender broke a basement access window, entered a room, saw a resident, and fled out the front door.

The intruder was described as a subject of unknown gender, 5’7″ with dark hair, medium build, wearing black clothing.

The offender may have fled in a black Chevy Malibu with a rear passenger side hub cap missing. A witness outside there was a male/white subject reported inside the Chevy Malibu. It is unknown if this was the intruder or a second getaway driver.
