Oak Creek Police Department Releases Dash Cam Video of Sikh Temple of Wisconsin Shooting Response

Warning: Contains Shooting Scene content. Police in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee have released squad car videos that show a gunman who killed six people at a Sikh temple (7512 South Howell Street) last month shoot the first officer on the scene.

Oak Creek police officer Sam Lenda describes the response and encounter with the gunman at a press conference with the release of the dashcam video.

Audio is provided for public safety personnel and citizens to understand the timing factors, and early decisions made as an emergency situation/mass casualty situation is realized and acted on — including finding and arresting a suspect or suspects, determining the number of casualties, triage of victims’ injuries, organizing a proper response of police, fire, and medical personnel, securing the public from further danger, and securing the scene for investigation.
