Driver Arrested DUI on North Arlington Heights Rd After Hit-and-Run Crash at Dunton Ave and Thomas St

Arlington Heights police responded about 5:19 AM Tuesday to a report of a hit-and-run crash where the victim driver caught up with the offending driver in the 1500 block of North Arlington Heights Road. Police received a report that a female driver in a red Toyota Camry crashed with the victim’s car at Dunton Avenue and Thomas Street. The victim driver reported that the offender was followed to the 1500 block of North Arlington Heights Road. The offending driver was reported to be possibly intoxicated with a six- or seven-year-old child in the vehicle. The offending driver also bailed from her vehicle and ran into an apartment in the 1500 block of North Arlington Heights Road.

The victim’s vehicle was a black Acura.

The female driver in the red Toyota Camry was arrested DUI and transported to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters.
