Toddler Struck by Adult in the Back Seat of Audi at Mobil Gas Station on Dundee Rd, Palatine

Palatine police responded about 1:34 p.m. Monday to a report of a battery at the Mobil gas station. Police received a report that a male adult and a female adult were arguing, when the male adult turned and struck a one-year-old child in the back seat of their vehicle.

The offender was described as a male/black wearing a blue shirt. He was with a female/black adult, wearing a white shirt.

Police were updated that the offenders left in their vehicle — a white Audi that seen traveling eastbound on Dundee Road. Police stopped the suspect’s vehicle within about two minutes on southbound Route 53, just south of Dundee Road.

Palatine police are investigating.
