Police received a report that a man was suspected of attempting to steal items from Best Buy. The offender was described as a male/white in his 20’s wearing a white and blue sweater. He was attempting to leave the store, and then ran toward Rand Road. He got in to a red unknown 4-door vehicle, and attempted to flee in the vehicle.

Police were also made aware of a female/white subject that was with the male subject. The female was not in the vehicle, but was walking in the parking lot. She was also met by police, questioned and investigated.

Police transported the male subject in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. Police transported the female subject — not in custody — to Arlington Height Police Department Headquarters.
