Arlington Heights police responded about 6:20 p.m. Friday to a report that a blue Raleigh girl’s bike, stolen earlier in the day near St Viator, was spotted locked near the library. The bike was also described as having smiley face valve caps and a light on the front.

Police received a report that the bike was discovered by the owners, and then two offenders unlocked the bike and sped off at high speed — one on the stolen bike and one on another bike — toward North School Park.

One offender was described as a male/Hispanic, 14- or 15-years-old, 5’8″ 110 LBS, wearing a brown T-shirt and shorts. A second subject had a ‘similar description.’

Police searched the area, but no word on any contact with the offender.
