Police investigate at a crime scene location near Randall Lane and Bonhill Drive where a man was reported shot.

Cook County Sheriff’s police and Long Grove firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:26 a.m. to a shooting near Randall Lane and Bonhill Drive. Police arrived first and found a male subject down, apparently with gunshot wound(s) outside near Randall Lane and Bonhill Drive.
A possible offending vehicle was first described as a gray Toyota 4-door. Later a witness reported a dark red or cranberry Chevy Express minivan, described as clean in the area of the shooting. A witness reported hearing two ‘pops’ and then saw a male on the ground, and the minivan leaving the area. A witness also reported seeing a male/Hispanic fleeing. He was described as wearing shorts or long short blue jeans.
A second battery was also reported in the area near Randall Lane.
Palatine police and Palatine firefighter/paramedics also responded to the scene.
Cook County Sheriff’s police are investigating.
