Hit-and-Run Crash Offender Flees Dominick’s and Crashes Into Tree in Buffalo Grove

Buffalo Grove police responded about 11:17 a.m. Thursday to a report of a hit-and-run crash at Dominick’s, 770 South Buffalo Grove Road. Police received a report that a black Toyota was fleeing westbound on Barnard.

The police were updated that the vehicle was speeding and hit a tree on Barnard near Cherrywood. Police also received a report that the car was on fire and that two people were trapped in the car. Firefighters/paramedics were dispatched to the scene. When firefighters arrived they reported there was no car fire and no occupants trapped.

Police were investigating the crash for a possible DUI driver.
