Fight with Bats on North Geneva Dr, Palatine

Palatine police responded about 4:05 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a fight in progress in the 1500 block of North Geneva Drive.

One witness reported about 12-15 subjects carrying bats. The witness also reported hearing a gunshot. Police discovered a patio window was shattered in the incident.

Another witness reported at least five people armed with bats. One subject was armed with knife, wearing a striped shirt and white shorts.

Police reported several subjects ran south toward Rand Road. No word on any arrests.
