Chicago police responded about 5:45 a.m. Monday to a store burglary alarm at Best Buy, 2100 North Elston Avenue. Police arrived to find the front of the store smashed. Presumably video surveillance showed, or witnesses reported, that a white van was driven into the store. Offenders then removed over $45,000 in merchandise after the vehicle was used for forced entry into the store.
Investigators and store managers determined that the loss included 60 Apple iPads, 11 laptops, and 10 GPS devices.
