Vehicle Hits Squad Car After Police Respond For Man ‘Slumped Over the Wheel’

Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:35 a.m. Sunday to a report of a man slumped over the wheel in the 300 block of St. Mary’s Parkway. Police received a report that a black vehicle was parked in a resident’s front yard. Buffalo Grove police arrived within three minutes, and called for a police supervisor and paramedics to respond to the scene.

Firefighter/paramedics transported a male victim with a medical emergency to a nearby hospital.

The incident marks the second collision involving a Buffalo Grove police squad car in three days time period. A Buffalo Grove police car was hit by a vehicle on Friday, the thirteenth, at Arlington Heights Road and Fremont Way about 8:59 a.m.
