Power Failure/Palatine Road Closed for Power Line Down Across All Lanes in Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighters responded about 6 PM to a power line down across always a Palatine Road. Palatine Road is closed in both directions — express lanes and frontage lanes between Schoenbeck Road and Windsor Drive. A power line needs to be re-strung and is expected to be reinstalled by about 7:30 PM Saturday.

Neighbors in the area reported a power surge and a loud humming noise and then loss of power.

ComEd, Comcast, WOW technicians are on the scene and checking their lines.

Palatine Road — all lanes open in both directions at about 8:15 p.m.
