Near Drowning: Four-Year-Old Boy Rescued from Backyard Pool by Family Members

Des Plaines police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:15 p.m. Saturday as family member pulled an unresponsive 4-year-old boy from a backyard pool. Family members administered CPR, according to police, and Des Plaines firefighter/paramedics took over with Advanced Life Support and rushed the boy to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

The boy is reported in stable condition on Sunday, April 15, 2012.
