Garage Fire on Arlington Heights Rd, North of Thompson Blvd, Long Grove


UPDATE: Arlington Park jockey Eusebio “Eddie” Razo Jr. reported killed in a Long Grove Garage Fire.

Long Grove firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:20 a.m. Tuesday to a garage fire in the 5100 block of Arlington Heights Road. Firefighters received a report that a large amount of gasoline was possibly involved in the fire.

Arlington Heights Road is blocked north of McHenry Road by Buffalo Grove police because of hoses across Arlington Heights Road at Thompson Boulevard. The fire is located north of Montessori World of Discovery in Buffalo Grove. The property is located west of Arlington Heights Road, behind Sunset Foods.

Firefighters from Buffalo Grove, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, Palatine, Lake Zurich, Libertyville and others assisted Long Grove firefighters either at the scene or providing coverage for Long Grove.

A State of Illinois Fire Marshal’s office investigator was called to the scene after the apparent burned body of a man was discovered.
