Large Palatine Power Outage from Crash at Dundee Rd and Quentin Rd, Apparent Minor Injuries

Palatine firefighter/paramedics and Cook County Sheriff police responded about 9:04 p.m. Friday to a report of a car vs. pole crash at Quentin Road and Dundee Road. Firefighters reported a two-vehicle crash with moderate damage. Firefighters also reported traffic hazard with a request to confirm police response.

Two victims were reported with apparent minor injuries.

A utility pole and/or light pole was hit and arcing was reported after one of the vehicles hit a guy wire. A large power outage occurred in the area — possibly affecting Palatine, Inverness and Deer Park (communities not confirmed).
