Arlington Heights police received a report of four vehicle burglaries in the Virginia Terrace neighborhood north of Oakton Street, west of Kennicott Avenue, south of Thomas Street, and east of Wilke Road.
An unknown offender or offender burglarized a tan 2006 Buick Lacrosse in the 1600 block of North Yale Avenue, a silver 2003 Chevy Malibu in the 1300 block of North Illinois Avenue, a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe in the 1300 block of North Race Avenue, and a 2009 Ford Escape in the 1500 block of North Yale Avenue. No items were reported missing from the Ford Escape, but a front passenger window was shattered.
In total, three GPS units, a coin purse and loose change were removed from the vehicles. No values were reported for the items.
The crimes are reported to have occurred between Sunday, March 11th, 2012 at 11:30 p.m. and Monday, March 12th, 2012 at 6:00 a.m. The 1500 block Yale burglary was previously reported in The Cardinal on Monday morning.
