A 36-foot-long whale shark was brought to the Karachi Harbor on Tuesday morning by local fishermen who claimed to have found it dead in the open sea though some experts believed that the shark might have been killed after it got entangled in a net.

The whale shark is a fish — a slow-moving filter feeding shark and the largest existing fish species. The largest confirmed whale shark on record had a length of 41.50 ft and a weight of more than 47,000 pounds.
