Man Hit in Head by Shovel, Allegedly by Neighbor Near Schooner and Shoreline, Schaumburg

Schaumburg police responded about 4:10 p.m. Thursday to a report that a teen gang fight involved shovels and rakes near the intersection of Schooner and Shoreline Circle. Police received a report that about five male/teens were on the scene and that one male was hit in the head with a shovel by a neighbor. Paramedics were called to the scene police learned that a man was hit in the head with a shovel.

All was calm when police arrived on the scene. Paramedics did not transport the victim to the hospital — he apparently refused medical transport.
