Crash with Injuries on Kirchhoff Rd Near Walnut Ave; Kirchhoff Rd Blocked

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:30 p.m. Friday to a report of a personal injury crash at Kirchhoff Road and Walnut Avenue. At least two people were report injured. Kirchhoff Road was closed for a short period.

The crash involved a Chevy Impala and a green Toyota Camry. Heavy damage was reported on the Toyota Camry, as it required a flatbed tow.

Two rescue ambulances responded to the crash. Kirchhoff Road was re-opened about 9:05 p.m.


Well over 50 crashes occurred between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Friday in the northwest suburbs of Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village, Mount Prospect, Palatine, Prospect Heights, Rolling Meadows and Schaumburg.
