Apartment Fire on South Tonne Rd Contained to a Bathroom, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:35 a.m. Tuesday to 2135 South Tonne Drive to a report of a fire in the bathroom. Resident reported flames and smoke showing in a second floor apartment bathroom. Residents reported they were evacuated from their own unit, but no other residents were report evacuated.

First firefighters report smoke in an apartment unit on the west end of the building with heat behind a door. Searches are underway and firefighter were working on the fire by by 7:42 a.m.

Fire was reported contained to the bathroom with some involvement in the walls. Firefighters were checking for extension, and were working on ventilation. Fire was reported out by about 7:45 a.m.
