Hit-and-Run Driver Nabbed by Police After Crash at Algonquin Rd and Dearborn Ct

Arlington Heights police responded about 9:44 a.m. Sunday to a report of a hit-and-run crash with no injuries at Algonquin Road and Goebbert Road. Police received a report that the vehicle was last seen southbound on Goebbert Road approaching Algonquin Road.

The offending vehicle was described as a green Dodge Caravan.

An alert police officer sighted the van on Busse Road north of Algonquin Road. Mount Prospect police also responded. The van was stopped by police in the Knightsbridge Apartment complex.

Police later learned the hit-and-run crash was near Algonquin Road and Dearborn Court. Police were checking jurisdiction, which turned out be Mount Prospect.

Mount Prospect police towed the van to a police holding area for ‘no insurance.’
