Garage Fire on Parker Place, Elk Grove Village

Elk Grove Village police and firefighters responded about 10:25 a.m. Friday to a report of a garage fire in the 1200 block of Parker Place. Firefighters arrived and reported smoke showing, and were attacking the fire by 10:28 a.m.

There were unconfirmed reports of a dog in the house, but later reports confirmed there was no dog on the scene. Firefighter/paramedics checked out the homeowner who was exposed to some smoke. No word on any injuries at the fire scene.

The fire was reported extinguished at 10:54 a.m. Friday.
