Attached Garage Fire on East Gregory Ave, Mount Prospect

Mount Prospect firefighter/paramedics and Cook County Sheriff’s police deputies responded about 5:38 p.m. Monday to a report of an attached garage fire at 133 East Gregory Avenue, Mount Prospect. Firefighters also received a report that acetylene torch tanks were stored in the garage. The first firefighters on the scene reported seeing fire during their approach to the scene and called for a Code 4 — working fire response.

Firefighters reported they were doing overhaul about 6:34 p.m. and checking for extension. Firefighters reported loss stopped at 7:19 p.m. Monday.

Firefighters from Arlington Heights, Des Plaines, Elk Grove Township, Glenview, Prospect Heights and Rolling Meadows assisted Mount Prospect either at the scene or covering fire stations and the rest of the community.
