Three-Car Hit-and-Run Crash at Algonquin Road and New Wilke; Offender Armed with Tire Iron

Arlington Heights police and Rolling Meadows police responded about 4:23 p.m. Saturday to a hit-and-run crash at Algonquin Road and New Wilke Road. Police received a report that the crash involved three vehicles — a white pickup truck, a white sedan and a burgundy compact sedan. Police received a report that the driver of the burgundy compact sedan was armed with a tire iron and threw something at the driver of the pickup truck. The offending hit-and-run driver fled eastbound on Algonquin Road from New Wilke Road.

Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics were called to the scene to check on a pregnant female that was involved in the crash.
