Arlington Heights police received a report of a purse theft in the Jewel-Osco parking lot, 440 East Rand Road. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders removed the victim’s black leather purse from the shopping cart while she was transferring items from the shopping car to her vehicle in the parking lot. the purse and wallet are valued at $290. The purse contained two cell phones, credit/debit cards, checks and approximately $25 cash.
The crime is reported to have occurred between 1:45 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2011.
