Monday NIGHT Football: Two Power Outages at 49ers-Pittsburgh Steelers Game at Candlestick Park

The start of the San Francisco 49ers-Pittsburgh Steelers game was delayed by a power outage at Candlestick Park. A 49ers team spokesman said transformers appeared to fail outside the stadium.

The first of two power outages hit Monday Night Football before the kickoff. The opening kickoff was delayed until power was restored 20 minutes later. A second power outage occurred early in the second quarter, delaying the football game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Pittsburgh Steelers another 20 minutes.
