VIDEO: Head-on crash on eastbound Algonquin Road about one-quarter mile west of New Wilke Road.
Rolling Meadows police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:50 p.m. Sunday to a head-on crash in front of 2701 Algonquin Road. A Superior private ambulance was on the scene before police and firefighter/paramedics arrived and advised that three people were injured. Rolling Meadows called for a second ambulance before their arrival, and called for a third rescue-ambulance when they arrived. Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics responded in the third rescue-ambulance. All victims were transported to Northwest Community Hospital.
A van and a small sedan left the roadway and were on the Community Bank property, 2701 Algonquin Road. A Honda Civic with severe front-end damage was stopped in the eastbound lanes. One male driver was arrested and transported to Rolling Meadows Police Department Headquarters. No word on arrests or charges.
Eastbound Algonquin Road was blocked during accident scene management. The road was re-opened by about 6:00 p.m.
