Fire at the Popcorn Shoppe on Old McHenry Extinguished Immediately by Long Grove Firefighters

Long Grove Fire Protection District firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:42 a.m. Monday to a report of a fire at the Popcorn Shoppe, 318 Old McHenry Road. Firefighters received a report that a pop corn machine was on fire and that the store was being evacuated. Firefighters reported the fire was extinguished by 9:45 a.m.

Apparently minimal damage at the business. Fire and health inspectors checking for damage and post-fire safety issues in the retail store.
