Elk Grove Village police responded about 10:51 a.m. Friday to a report of a residential burglary in the 600 block of Schooner Lane. Police received a report that residents left about 9:15 a.m. Friday and reported just before 11:00 a.m. Friday. Upon return to the home, the residents found damage on a door.
The residents waited outside while police arrived and checked the interior of the residence.
