Theft of Gas from Marathon at Central Rd and New Wilke, Suspect Found at Home

#ad▼

Arlington Heights police received a report about 3:08 p.m. Wednesday of theft of gas at the Marathon gas station at Central Road and New Wilke Road. Police received a report that the driver of a Chrysler convertible fueled the car with $55 worth of gas and left without paying.

Police then received a call for a suspicious person knocking at the door of a residence in Arlington Heights. The resident — a teen female — reported she locked herself in the bathroom because she thought someone followed her from the gas station after she didn’t pay for gas. That was the police at the door wanting to know why she didn’t pay for gas at the gas station.

She was asked to come to the door for the police officer. No word on any arrest. Presumably the payment was being resolved.
