Chicago Police Officer Shot in Altgeld Neighborhood on South Langley Ave

Chicago police, firefighters, and paramedics responded about 9:15 p.m. Thursday to a report of a CPD officer shot in the 13200 block of South Langley Avenue in the Altged Gardens neighborhood. The police officer had responded to a report of shots fired in the neighborhood. The police officer was shot during a foot pursuit with one person who fled after police approached a group of four people.

No description was available, and no gun was recovered as of Thursday night.


the injured police officer was transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Christ Medical Center.
