Car Fire Directly Across from Village Hall, Arlington Heights

VIDEO: Firefighters extinguish a car fire in a village parking lot at Arlington Heights Road and Sigwalt Street.

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded right across the street from the fire station one at the corner of Arlington Heights Road and Sigwalt Street to car fire with a fully involved engine compartment fire on a Kia Spectra. No injuries were reported.

Heavy smoke rose across Sigwalt Street to envelope the John G. Woods Municipal Campus village hall and the Arlington Town Square shopping center near Panera Bread.

Firefighters extinguished the fire immediately, and the acrid smoke cleared quickly.
