Schaumburg police responded to a battery in the 1000 block of North Salem Monday afternoon. Police were gathering evidence at the scene and at a local hospital, where the victim was being treated in the emergency department. A witness near the scene said that the victim suffered a cut that cause a significant amount of bleeding.
At least one offender was in custody.
